Wine engraving as an event activation is always popular, especially when the event is held at a winery. We engraved wine bottles for an Adobe Systems event at Chateau Elan in Georgia for 100 guests within a 4 hour period.

Our engraving team was on hand to personalize bottles throughout the event. Guests could choose any phrase or name they liked up to 8 words long. Our certified master engraver, Desiree Colonna, would then engrave the bottles by hand using a high speed drill.

The entire process took about one minute per bottle. Guests didn’t have to wait long to see some beautiful calligraphy hand engraved on their wine bottles. We engrave wine bottles with a high speed drill. The engraving is cut very deep into the glass. You can feel it with your hands when its done and it lasts forever. Most of our clients tell us they never open the bottles we engrave because they are so beautiful.

Our wine engraving activation is easy to set up. All we need is a 6 ft table and two chairs near an electrical outlet. We don’t take up much space and we can engrave almost anywhere.

At the end of the night, our hosts all agreed our wine bottle engraving was the most elegant gift activation they’ve seen. They have already planned to ask us to do it again for their guests in the future.

Guests loved to show off their bottles to one another and people tried to outdo one another with their creativity throughout the night.

We especially loved seeing the specialty drinks they set up at the bar for the Adobe crowd. They even added their logo to the top of the martinis! It was a fun night everyone enjoyed.

Journal embossing on-site became one of the most popular live activations at the LPL Focus Conference in San Diego, CA. We embossed over 400 journals at the event in the BlackRock booth. We actually pre-embossed 200 of them before the conference at our offices in Atlanta so the sales staff could hand out journals to their clients as they dropped by.

The booth was conveniently located near the General Session area where a marching band had the honor of bringing guests out into the vendor area after a talk by Katie Couric the first night. Everyone was so excited for the conference to start.

We were set up and ready to go. The crowd started wrapping around the booth immediately. As soon as they saw the journal embossing, everyone wanted to get one. The event manager for BlackRock, Vanessa, was very impressed by the reaction of booth guests. She emailed her team that night, “Inkwell Designers was a HUGE SUCCESS tonight. Desiree has done a great job!”

The second day was just as successful with people wrapped around the booth most of the day. However, the journal embossing is so fast, they only waited 5 to 10 minutes at a time. Once word got around, everyone flocked to the BlackRock booth for their personalized gift. This happens every single time we bring our embossing activation to a trade show, party or conference. Engraving Artist, Desiree Colonna, hand engraved over 200 metal flasks at The Notary Hotel grand opening in Philadelphia this week for Marriott. It was a fun experience and well-hidden surprise for guests. This was our second event for Marriott’s Autograph Collection Hotels in three months.

The hotel suite was turned into a speakeasy the night of the Grand Opening. Guests were invited to a party on the main level, then secretly told about the real party going on in the suite upstairs and given a special key to attend where they would find our engraving artist creating special gifts.

When they arrived upstairs, Desiree was seated at a large table with a basket of flasks ready to engrave.

The line never stopped for three hours and Desiree eventually ran out of flasks to engrave. She was surprised to find out there were more flasks ordered than guests so many people received more than one gift. They loved the engraving activation so much, they kept coming back for gifts for family and friends.

The event team was buzzing by the end of the night about how guests loved seeing their names, monograms and special phrases engraved into the metal flasks. Everyone couldn’t believe how popular our engraving artist and her work was in the upstairs suite. Everyone was vying for a key to the suite to see our engraver in action. The event was another successful grand opening for The Autograph Collection Hotels by Marriott and Desiree was honored to attend.
