Tumbler and Bottle Laser Engraving

Tumbler and bottle laser engraving are two of our specialties. We have just invested in a 50 watt Epilog Mini Laser Engraver in our shop which is three times faster than our previous laser with much higher quality and more capabilities.

Our laser engraving capability has been taken to the next level with our new Epilog laser machine. We can now engrave tumblers, wine and liquor bottles which are smooth and have a flat engraving area and so much more. Tumbler and bottle laser engraving are two of our favorite services because they are fast, fun and economical.

We chose Epilog because they have over 20 years in the laser business. We knew we could rely on their machine during the busy holiday season when our tumbler and bottle laser engraving would really be put to the test. One bottle takes less than 4 minutes to engrave, tumblers even less depending on the design.

We are now able to engrave around a bottle, tumbler or any round object in our laser engraver. Wine and liquor bottles are all welcome depending on the shape and size.

Tumbler and bottle laser engraving uses a laser to take off the very first layer of powder coating to get a beautiful image. We work with vector and raster files to get the job done. Our graphic designers know how to get your image just right for the job at hand.

Engraving Events are Back in Atlanta!

Engraving events are back in Atlanta and we’re very excited! We will engrave wine and liquor bottles at Local Vine on June 20, 2020 from 11 am until 4 pm.

All engraving events are FREE to customers with a purchase of a bottle of wine or liquor. All you have to do is purchase your bottle and bring it to us in the back of the store to get it engraved by hand.

We highly recommend you come early to purchase your bottle for engraving as we expect a large crowd. This event coincides with Father’s Day on June 21st. This is the perfect time to get an engraved bottle of wine or liquor for your favorite dad, husband or grandfather.

Our liquor engraving events are one of the most popular event activations we offer. We hand engrave each bottle at our engraving events with a special high speed drill. Then we fill in the calligraphy engraving with gold or silver to really make it pop on the glass wine or liquor bottle.

We can engrave up to 7 words per bottle in order to keep the line moving quickly. We can also engrave a flower or heart to embellish the engraved design. Our master engraver, Desiree Colonna, is so fast, she can engrave one bottle per minute. She’s known as the “Fastest Engraver in the South!”

We are so excited to be back engraving bottles for our clients at our engraving events. We missed the events during the Covid-19 crisis, especially working with people one-on-one. “Meeting our clients face-to-face is the best part about engraving at events. Best in Branding Award from Advertising Specialty Institute

A Best in Branding Gold Medal was awarded to Inkwell Designers® this month (June 2020) in Advertising Specialty Institute’s (ASI) Counselor Magazine and given a gold medal for our Medical Mask Hooks branding campaign. We were also given an innovation mention for our on-site event activations.

We were very honored ASI recognized our innovation and hard work during these tumultuous times. Our Medical Mask Hooks, or ear savers, are worn with elastic, disposable masks. We were motivated to help come up with this solution when our friends and family members who were nurses complained about how sore their ears were after 8 to 10 hours of wearing their masks behind their ears.

We looked around at other ear saver hooks offered, created one out of hard acylic and noticed the first one we made broke within 10 seconds of use. We knew there had to be a better way. We found a flexible acrylic which worked well with our S-shaped design and we were off to the races.

Our company then donated over 3,500 medical mask hooks to local hospitals around Georgia. We were also featured in a case study on the ASI website which led to the Best in Branding gold medal in Counselor magazine. The nurses and medical staff were extremely excited and told us our innovative medical mask hooks worked beautifully. We’ve since received orders for them from around the United States.

We were also recognized in Counselor magazine for our innovative on-site event activations which we perform around the globe.

We offer calligraphy, embossing, engraving, painting, calligraphy, sublimation and other artistic activations at events around the world. Our event activations were our most popular offering before the Covid-19 virus hit the event industry hard in March, 2020. This is one of the biggest reasons we decided to pivot into making our medical mask hooks.

It was a gamble that paid off big not only for our company, but for the thousands of people who use our medical mask hooks every day. We’re proud to say we found a way to sustain our business as well as help others who need our best in branding offerings. We look forward to resuming our event activations very soon and we’re watching this industry very closely.

Covid-19 Response Shop Now Open

Covid-19 Response Shop is not something we thought we’d put on our site, ever, but here we are.

The popularity of our Medical Mask Hooks is overwhelming. We’ve sent hooks to almost every part of the country as well as Canada. We donated one hook for every one sold. This allowed us to donate over 3,500 medical mask hooks to our hospitals and medical workers in Georgia over the past 2 weeks.

Our medical mask hooks have been featured in the Awards and Engraving online magazine as well as the Advertising Specialty Institute’s online Promogram.

Our clients also began asking us if we provided masks and other protective equipment in our Covid-19 Response Shop. This prompted us to look at what else we could provide which would help people in this extraordinary time we now find ourselves in.

The Covid-19 Response Shop now includes masks, neck gaiters, t-shirts and some other protective wearable gear. Our t-shirts were specially created to celebrate our medical heroes all inspired by our medical mask hooks. We also decided to have a little fun with our designs as you can see below. Most items can be personalized with a logo, design or photo.

Our ultimate goal is to donate 50% of our profits from our Covid-19 Response Shop back to our local medical community from the proceeds driven from our store. This will also help us to provide more free medical mask hooks to our local community hospitals now and in the future.

We’ve even found an interesting face shield which can be attached to a “dad cap” and worn to the store or wherever you feel you need it.

Medical Mask Hooks and How You Can Help

At a time where necessity truly is the mother of invention, we’ve put our laser to work in our Covid-19 response helping create these flexible Medical Mask Hooks for our community healthcare providers. These are made out of an innovative flexible acrylic from Johnsons Plastics. We used flexible acrylic versus rigid because our very first test hook broke immediately when testing. The flexible material makes all the difference! While our colleagues in the industry rushed to get rigid, breakable acrylic out the door, we took our time and made sure these were created from the best material for their use. Flexible, soft acrylic.

The ear mask side loops are held by the medical mask hooks in the back of the head to help keep the mask tight around the face. Another benefit is the masks no longer loop around the ears, causing abrasion and soreness the medical community has reported. These hooks prevent any soreness and are very comfortable to wear over the ears, not on the ears. They are also adjustable.

We wanted to do our part so we took a look at how others were being made. We first tried 1/8″ acrylic but found they broke in a short period of time and weren’t comfortable due to the medical mask hooks being inflexible. Experimenting with a new material, Lucent Transclucent acrylic, we saw the difference immediately as you can below. These medical mask hooks were not only flexible but comfortable and effective.

Baseball Glove Personalization for Dick’s Sporting Goods

Baseball glove personalization is one of our specialties. After seeing our work online at the MLB All Star Game in Washington D.C., Dick’s Sporting Goods® reached out to our CEO, Desiree Colonna and asked her to bring our personalization service to their stores around the country.

Dick’s wanted a special activation to offer parents and kids before the start of the little league baseball season. We were more than happy to work with them! Our first events took us to Frisco, Texas and Raleigh, North Carolina on the same day.

We personalized baseball gloves by using a burning pen to brand the lighter colored gloves and gold, silver or white paint pens to add names to the dark colored gloves. The burned names are permanent and the pens are waterproof, but semi-permanent.

“Walkoff Weekend” was filled with a lot of fun and surprises including a raffle for a Yeti® cooler and a $500 gift card. However, the baseball glove personalization table was always busy. We personalized over 100 gloves combined in the two cities we visited.

Both kids and parents loved our baseball glove personalization. (We even snuck in a couple baseball bats!) The main reason people want their gloves personalized is to discourage anyone from taking their glove. Having a name on a glove also helps kids find their glove faster if someone else has the same baseball glove.

We will continue to travel to nine more cities across the country bringing our personalized baseball glove activation to many more families. Our travels include many major cities between Portland, Oregon and Portland, Maine. You can find our entire schedule on our calendar page.
