Calligraphy Engraving Locks for Columbia County Visitors Center in Martinez, Georgia

Valentine’s Day found us calligraphy engraving padlocks in the shape of a heart in the visitor’s center in Martinez, Georgia. The hand engraved locks were then put onto an artwork sculpture near the Augusta Canal Dam.

We were invited by the Columbia County Visitors Center to hand engrave stainless steel, heart-shaped padlocks for the Valentine’s Day family event. We met couples and families, some who drove all the way from Atlanta and South Carolina for this special calligraphy engraving event! We had over 100 people come in for engraving, even in the pouring rain.

Everyone loved the hand engraving activation so much, they already invited us back next year to participate. Once we were done, they continued to get calls about when the next calligraphy engraving event would take place.

Some families had locks engraved in memory of family members, some to celebrate anniversaries or births. It was a unique a wonderful way to celebrate and mark these special life events. The kids especially loved watching our CEO, Desiree Colonna, hand engrave each lock with care.

Visitors were also encouraged to bring in their own locks for calligraphy engraving. Many had bought bigger locks online which they were happy to have hand engraved at the event, then hung them on the sculpture outside near the dam.

The event was a huge hit and Desiree already can’t wait until next year which promises to double in size!
