October finds us doing invitation calligraphy for our local Atlanta Saks Fifth Avenue. We like to refer to this month as “inktober” around our calligraphy studios. We got a call for an order of invitation calligraphy on 200 envelopes for an exclusive jewelry event at the Saks Fifth Avenue Phipps Plaza store. The kicker? They needed to be done in two weeks and hand delivered. No problem!
We answered the call and immediately picked up the envelopes directly from Saks Fifth Avene. Then we went to work for a few hours.
We used the envelopes the jewelry company provided Saks and Dr. Ph Martin’s Silver Ink. We also used a Brause Blue Pumpkin nip. (Not intentional, believe me, but very fitting for doing calligraphy in October!) Together, the tools brought the invitation calligraphy to life. The shimmer of the silver ink is something to see under the lights. Very beautiful. Here is another view.
