Perfume Bottle Engraving with a Twist: A Unique Gift for Mother’s Day at Bloomingdale’s Lenox Mall

This Mother’s Day, Bloomingdale’s in Lenox Mall, Atlanta, hosted a unique gift-giving experience that featured perfume bottle engraving with a personalized twist. As an engraver dedicated to creating special memories, I offered bespoke perfume bottle engraving services, elevating the simple act of gifting into an unforgettable moment for many shoppers.

Perfume bottle engraving is a timeless way to personalize a gift, making it more than just a fragrance. Each bottle I engraved was carefully adorned with names and heartfelt messages, integrating each element elegantly into the bottle’s design. This year, however, we decided to enhance our perfume bottle engraving service even further.

What set our perfume bottle engraving apart was the addition of custom-made floral decals, which no other engraver is currently offering. These unique decals are designed and produced in my office using an advanced UV printer, which allows for vibrant, precise, and durable designs that complement the elegant text of the engraving. I used uv direct to transfer material to create the floral decals.

The combination of perfume bottle engraving with these exclusive floral decals was met with great enthusiasm from customers at Bloomingdale’s! They loved the opportunity to watch their chosen perfume bottles transform into personalized works of art, enhanced visually with the decals inspired by the beauty of Mother’s Day.

The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many appreciating the innovative approach to traditional perfume bottle engraving. This service not only provided a personal touch but also made each gift a visual representation of love and appreciation.

Hand Engraved Bottles for Father’s Day at Fort Gordon Exchange

Hand engraved bottles of liquor and fragrance were the hit of the week at the Fort Gordon Post Exchange in Augusta, GA. We engraved over 250 bottles in 4 hours for military families in Georgia.

We were invited to engrave for Father’s Day a few weeks prior to the event by the Fort Gordon Exchange management. When we arrived on base, there was already a long line due to the advertising of our hand engraving service both online and offline. We primarily engraved Hennessy cognac bottles and Lancome fragrances but we also engraved other bottles people bought in the store.

We were busy the entire time we were there and engraved one bottle every minute! There was a lot of creativity flowing as guests had us engrave funny phrases like “Do Not Open” or “Open in an Emergency.” They loved that we could engrave the bottles with whatever they came up with. Our hand engraved bottles were something they had never seen before.

We loved serving our military men and women knowing we were helping them make their gift giving a little easier and a lot more unique. Customers loved the interaction, especially being able to watch the engraving done in front of them. We didn’t make one mistake the entire time and we were the fastest engraver they had ever seen engraving one bottle per minute.

The Hennessy and Lancome representatives were so impressed with our liquor and fragrance bottle engraving, they’ve already booked us to come back to Fort Gordon Post Exchange for the holidays. We will always be happy to oblige! We loved the experience as much as they loved having us.

Desiree and Joe enjoyed meeting everyone at the event and are already looking forward to working with the planners again later in the year.

Holiday Gift Engraving at Hermés in New York Was A Great Honor

Holiday gift engraving at Hermés was in full swing a few weeks ago when Desiree Colonna, our CEO, was flown from Atlanta to New York’s Hermés store on Madison Avenue to engrave fragrances for guests. It was a great honor for her because she was one of very few fragrance engravers in the world to be flown into the Hermés New York location. They only hire engravers two or three times a year.

Desiree spent the day engraving at no charge for all guests who purchased fragrance gifts. The engraving was very popular and clients were very happy to have their fragrance purchases personalized in such a unique way.

Desiree took a selfie from the street her first night. New York is the most beautiful city during the holidays!

The Hermés store does not disappoint in sheer size. It is literally five floors of amazing luxury items including china, footwear, jewelry and their elusive Birkin and Kelly bags. They even have a section devoted to their signature equestrian goods.

The highlight of the trip was when Brian, one of the top salesmen, allowed her to experience a Birkin bag presentation on a break from the holiday gift engraving. Not many people are even allowed to see the $10,000 and up Birkin bags without first being vetted by the salespeople. These bags go as high at$89,000 and are very hard to find. The salesman, Brian, took her behind the scenes to see the bag in real life.

The Birkin bag didn’t disappoint with its supple Italian leather and unique style. This was below is in a color called Tomato Red.

After the presentation, it was back to work. Desiree engraved many bottles for guests including the ones below.

Twilly d’Hermés is their newest and most popular fragrance. It even has their signature scarf around the top of the bottle for extra style and perfect branding!

The holiday gift engraving event was very successful. The store management couldn’t believe how quickly Desiree engraved the bottles without layout or lines stating she was the “fastest engraver they ever had in the store!” They loved the beautiful calligraphy engraving on the bottles and are looking forward to inviting her back again for future holiday gift engraving events.

To top it all off, Mother Nature decided to throw some snow on the scene for a few hours making it the perfect holiday gift engraving experience for all the shoppers.

Desiree flew back to Atlanta that same night enjoying the view from the plane.

Perfume Engraving Season Begins at Dillard’s Scentsational Events

Perfume engraving events are one of our many specialties around the holiday season. This year, we are working with Dillard’s in Georgia to engrave perfume and cologne bottles at many of their Scentsational Events around Atlanta. This is our second season working with Dillard’s at these perfume engraving events and we were so honored to be asked back this year.

Our engraving was so popular, we had over 30 pre-ordered bottles ready and waiting for us at the Arbor Place Dillard’s this past week. Customers love watching the engraving happen right in front of them. We’ve been deemed the “fastest engravers in the South” by many customers and clients so it doesn’t take long to engrave a bottle. Our customers don’t have to wait for the results because we don’t have to do any fancy layout beforehand. They see their bottles created within one minute because our engravers have the experience and skills needed to do the job right the first time. We didn’t make one mistake on any of the over 60 bottles we engraved!

Dillard’s loves having this experiential marketing activation (the fancy name for perfume engraving event) because customers typically buy more bottles of perfume the day we’re in the stores. They are beautiful gifts that last forever, perfect for birthdays, anniversaries and the upcoming holiday season.

Dillard’s Scentsational Events will be held all around Georgia over the next 30 days. Here are some examples of perfume bottles we engraved for customers.

In-Store Engraving Events Create Lasting Memories

In-store engraving events keep us busy during the holidays year round. I just finished an in-store engraving event at Saks Fifth Avenue at Phipps Plaza for Kilian Fragrances and it was very successful. We find customers by 25% more product at each event and there are more repeat sales for brands who offer this service. “We see fragrances fly off the shelves when Inkwell Designers is in our store.” stated the Director of Fragrance Marketing.

Our typical event is between 4 and 6 hours. We ask the store to set up a table for us with a chair and electrical outlet. We only take up a couple feet of space. All we use is a small dental drill and a quiet compressor. We don’t take up much space and don’t get in the way of customer traffic.

My favorite part of all of my in-store engraving events is the smile on our customer’s faces the moment I hand them the object I’ve engraved. The picture below captures Kathy’s excitement beautifully. I engraved her Kilian fragrance clutch with her childhood nickname,”Caddy.” She loved it!

Sometimes my in-store engraving events create moments that I’ll never forget. My last customer of the day made me cry. I was running about 30 minutes over the allotted time when this customer came up to me. She had a Tiffany bracelet on and asked me if I could engrave it for her. She was given the bracelet by her mom who passed away four years ago. I was happy to engrave “Cupcake” on it for her. When I was done, she began to cry. I hugged her and we had a really nice moment thinking about her mom. I was so happy to do that for her. She will always think about her mom when she looks at that bracelet and I am honored to have been able to make that happen for her.

Fragrance Bottle Engraving for a Long-Distance Birthday

Our fragrance bottle engraving services are known worldwide. We are able to purchase and ship fragrance bottles to our clients or to the recipients.

A few weeks ago, we got a call from Megan in Florida. She told us her boyfriend collected fragrance bottles. He had over 300. She wanted a birthday gift for him that was unique and she had never seen fragrance bottle engraving before until she found our site. We talked about how it would work. I told her she could simply choose a bottle (she choose the one above) and send it to us. We would then engrave it and send it back to her so she could give her boyfriend a unique birthday gift he’d never seen before. This engraved fragrance bottle will definitely stand out in his collection. Also, the engraved bottle is like a perpetual birthday card as someone stated on our Instagram page.

I received the bottle and went right to work on the engraving. She wanted “Happy Birthday, My Love” with hearts and a date on the other side.

Once the fragrance bottle engraving was complete, I boxed up the bottle in the original box and shipped it to her door. Easy, fast and fun!

She loved it and will be giving it to her boyfriend this weekend for his birthday. She can’t wait to see the look on his face when he receives such a beautiful and unique gift he’ll cherish forever.
