Custom Baseball Gloves at Fox Sports All Star Game VIP Event

Custom baseball gloves were the most sought after gift at the Fox Sports All Star Game VIP Event. Inkwell Designers℠ was on hand to add custom embossing and calligraphy to all attendees baseball gloves before the big game in Washington D. C.

The event was held at Due South, a restaurant near Nationals Stadium. The weather was hot and muggy but everyone was still excited and energized before the big game.

We had been contacted just days before the event to participate when Jeff Pofsky, owner of JNP Merchandising, contacted our CEO, Desiree Colonna. He had read on our event calendar we were already going to be there working another event over the weekend for Coca Cola and saw a chance to have us work his company’s event for Fox Sports the following Tuesday night.

Desiree and her daughter, Emily, were happy to stay a couple extra days in order to create custom baseball gloves for all of the VIP attendees. The event was held right next to a beautiful dock as the sunset over the water. The venue was beautiful!

Attendees loved the custom baseball gloves and some even got two or three for friends and family members who play baseball.

The event was a big hit and the customized baseball gloves were a big part of it. Desiree and Emily personalized over 150 gloves during the 4 hours they were there.

Leather Baseball Glove Engraving at the MLB All Star Game Summer Riverfest

Leather baseball glove engraving was a very popular activation we brought to the Major League Baseball All Star Game Summer Riverfest in Washington, D.C. The event was sponsored by Coca-Cola® who graciously flew our Inkwell team into Washington D.C. to participate in the two-day event at The Yards Park.

Our CEO, Desiree Colonna, brought her daughter, Emily along to work at the event.

Our company was invited by a local Washington D.C. marketing and public relations firm because they were impressed by our current portfolio of leather baseball glove engraving. We currently hand engrave and emboss 5 to 10 baseball mitts each week for both kids and adults around the country. People send us their baseball mitts for personalization and we turn them around within 48 hours.

Leather baseball glove engraving is so much more than just a personalization tool. Parents tell us if a child’s name is permanently engraved on their baseball mitt, they are much more unlikely to have the baseball glove stolen during the season. Plus, it gives a child confidence seeing their name on the baseball glove. (We’ve had adults in leagues tell us the same thing!)

We engraved with a pyrography pen and hand painted (black baseball gloves don’t show the burn so we have to use a paint pen with a special permanent sealer) over 50 gloves during this weekend event. Everyone enjoyed the final designs. One parent called her daughter’s coach who booked us for another leather baseball glove engraving event right on the spot!

We were also asked hand engrave and personalize other items people brought up to us or dug out of their bags such as belts, purses, wallets and yes, even a sandal! We were happy to help out as the pictures show below.

We enjoyed being part of such a large event in our nation’s capital. We even had the honor to be asked to stay another night to perform our leather baseball mitt engraving activation at a private VIP party for a large sports network.

We can engrave and personalize baseball gloves anywhere we can find an electrical outlet. We even have our own generator we can use at sporting events around the country. Our footprint doesn’t take up much space and takes less than 15 minutes to set up.

We even enjoyed some beautiful sunsets in Washington D.C.

Shoe Embossing for ECCO® Atlanta In-Store Events

Shoe embossing is not a regular request from our corporate clients, but it sure is gaining popularity. This year alone we’ve embossed over 100 shoes for Tory Burch in Chicago and Dallas and now ECCO® USA shoes in Atlanta combined. Shoe embossing wasn’t something we felt we could do, but we always surprise ourselves with our own ingenuity. For ECCO we used leather lace tags which we embossed. This allowed people to emboss their shoes no matter what color they chose.

Gina contacted us a few months ago when ECCO was launching it’s latest style of shoes called True Indigo. This leather is not unlike a new pair of blue jeans. The leather actually wears and fades just like denim and is so comfortable.

The store manager wanted to do a two-day activation in their Lenox Mall store in Atlanta where we embossed shoe tags for customers who exclusively bought the True Indigo shoes. We were happy to help and they quickly sent us some shoe tags to emboss as a sample.

Our Master Embosser and CEO, Desiree Colonna, personally worked both shoe embossing events.

Desiree was even gifted with her own pair of True Indigo shoes which are featured in the first picture of this post. She loves them and wears them all the time. “Most comfortable shoes I own and yes, they have my name on them!”

Our set up took only a very small space in the store using one table near and electrical outlet.

All in all, the shoe embossing event was a success for the brand and for the store. Clients loved the personalization and the company has already hired Inkwell Designers℠ for other corporate projects.

Personalized Journal Stamping for Nationwide Insurance at Black Enterprise Summit

Personalized journal stamping was the most popular marketing activation in the Nationwide Insurance booth at the Black Enterprise Summit in Charlotte, North Carolina. We hot foil stamped guest’s initials on custom leather journals for two straight days, averaging 150 journals per day, a total of 300 journals.

Nationwide booth guests love the personalized journal stamping and stood in line to wait their turn. It didn’t take very long, 5 to 10 minutes at most when the lines were the longest. (We stamped journals twenty times faster than the guy who had a laser machine across the convention center!) However it gave our salespeople in the booth a chance to give every attendee a survey and get them on their corporate email list. That’s gold at a conference!

We average less than one minute per item when we emboss at events around the country. People don’t have to wait very long but they love watching the personalization done right in front of them with a very old-fashioned looking machine.

What was really fun was to see attendees network with each other in line. There were a lot of business cards handed out and stories traded in the time they were waiting.

Our personalized journal stamping activation doesn’t take up much space. We fit into even the smallest booth with a 6 to 8 foot table and two chairs. Our embossing machine is a tabletop machine which can easily travel anywhere we go.

Nationwide contacted us through their event marketing company to help them bring something different to their guests a few months ago. They loved the idea of custom leather journals.

Guests loved seeing their monograms on the leather journals. Some even got a few for friends and family as well as other team members in their office who couldn’t make it to the event.

Nationwide also offered free headshots for all attendees which they received immediately on a USB after the photo shoot.

The Black Enterprise Summit was a great event. We enjoyed seeing the city of Charlotte, NC for the first time. It was absolutely beautiful.

Leather Monogramming Event for Dark Horse Canned Wine Launch Tour

We brought a special touch to the Canned Wine Launch Tour hosted by Dark Horse Wines (a product of EJ Gallo Winery) with our leather monogramming event experience. The launch tour was a great way to introduce distributors and Gallo salespeople to the new canned wine product which launched in May.

Inkwell Designers℠ leather monogramming event team was invited to attend rooftop events in Minneapolis, Chicago, Dallas and Tampa. Our team was able to watch our Atlanta Braves play the Tampa Bay Rays at the stadium after the event which they really enjoyed! The weather was beautiful as you can see from the pictures below.

We traveled with the Dark Horse marketing team to each private leather monogramming event and monogrammed on beautiful leather koozies created by a company called Rustico and branded with the Dark Horse Wine logo.

Guests were able to choose any monogram they wanted with a choice of silver, gold, black and rose gold or no foil (deboss).

The leather monogramming event was a big hit with guests. People loved the on-site experience of having their leather koozies personalized right in front of them. We had long lines at every event but we were able to get everyone done. We monogrammed an average of 100 koozies per event.

The Canned Wine Launch Tour was a success both for Dark Horse Wines and Inkwell Designers. We were honored to work with the brand and we’re already looking forward to more events in the future.

Leather Foil Stamping at Mercedes Benz New USA Headquarters in Atlanta

Leather foil stamping is one of our most requested services for on-site corporate events. Most recently, we were asked to set up a live leather foil stamping station at the new Mercedes Benz USA headquarters in Atlanta. Two embossers worked on-site to create personalized leather computer cases for 400 employees over two, three-hour days. The Mercedes marketing team wanted a unique experience for employees and asked us to monogram each case at the new HQ in Sandy Springs.

The $90 million facility encompasses nearly 200,000 square feet and will ultimately house 1,000 employees.

To welcome the new USA Mercedes Benz headquarters employees to their office, the marketing team handed out computer cases to everyone. We came in a few days after the opening and performed live leather foil stamping in the common area on the first floor, right by the cafeteria. (You couldn’t miss us!) The employees loved watching how we set up each individual computer case and the type in our machines. Some people stood and watched for a good ten minutes while we worked hard to make sure everyone got their computer case monogrammed by the end of the day.

The Mercedes employee’s loved the personalization and couldn’t believe we were able to get all the computer cases done the same day they brought them to us. We monogrammed their cases with silver foil which looked gorgeous with the silver Mercedes Benz logo on the front. The results were very elegant. We encountered many happy employees during our two day event. People loved the experience and couldn’t wait to show their friends their newly monogrammed case.

We really enjoyed looking at the cars parked in strategic places in the beautiful new offices and were so tempted by the beautiful machines.

This one was a favorite. It was marked No. 61 in the line. Pretty amazing to think where Mercedes is now compared to how they started out.

We enjoyed our leather foil stamping event with Mercedes Benz and we were able to get every computer case done in the six hours we worked on site. We were also very honored to be part of this opening day event for the new Atlanta office space.
