Personalized Leather Swag at Dreamforce Creates Networking Buzz

Personalized leather swag at Dreamforce created a huge buzz in San Francisco last week. Our personalized leather swag activation table had a 10 to 15 minute wait with lines that never stopped 8 hours a day, 3 days straight. To us, this is normal and happens at almost every event we’re invited to. People love customized leather gifts so much, they are willing to wait for them. We were even more popular than the Godiva® chocolate booth giving away free samples right behind us!

So, you might think waiting in line is a bad thing, but it’s actually pretty magical. As people stand in line, we watched business cards swapped, stories traded and people making contact instead of looking at their phones. At a tech conference, there is something to be said for this. The line got people talking to each other and networking. That is always a huge goal at any conference.

What was a little different about this conference, is our client, Salesforce, requested custom stamps to go along with the monograms. We were able to create two dies, one with Astro, the character they created and one with a campsite line drawing which was the theme of the conference. We can now create custom dies which go with any monogram and can be added at the beginning, end and even the middle. People LOVED them!

We personalized over 2,000 luggage tags and leather charger rolls in three days. At the end of the last day, we had people hanging around our booth until the event closed at 6 pm. Security had to literally escort them out!

Our activation doesn’t take up much space. We just need a 6 ft table and two chairs. We’re very easy to fit in most any footprint at a tradeshow or event.

Leather Stamping at Gentleman Jack Whiskey Sour Event in Atlanta

Leather stamping was the hit of the party at the National Whiskey Sour Day event hosted by Jack Daniel’s Gentleman Jack at Upstairs Atlanta. Guests loved the activation as much as we enjoyed working with them. Leather embossing is a new type of service most people have never seen before and works well at events such as this one. We can say the leather coasters paired well with the whiskey sours served at the party!

We hand stamped 150 leather coasters in three hours for guests with silver and gold foil. People loved the leather stamping and seeing their names in silver and gold foil on the coasters supplied by our client.

The party was an afternoon soiree hosted by Jack Daniel’s Gentleman Jack. There were several activations, including a magician, but our leather stamping table had the longest line during the entire event. That’s typical when we bring our leather embossing machine to parties and events around the globe.

Our hot foil leather stamping activation is easy and quick to set up (literally 15 minutes) and we can go anywhere. We’ve traveled all over the country bringing this fun experience to guests for many companies such as MillerCoors, Dark Horse Wines and EJ Gallo.

We were honored to be part of this fun and private event in Atlanta and we’re looking forward to our next event with Gentleman Jack in the future.

Leather Monogramming Event for Dark Horse Canned Wine Launch Tour

We brought a special touch to the Canned Wine Launch Tour hosted by Dark Horse Wines (a product of EJ Gallo Winery) with our leather monogramming event experience. The launch tour was a great way to introduce distributors and Gallo salespeople to the new canned wine product which launched in May.

Inkwell Designers℠ leather monogramming event team was invited to attend rooftop events in Minneapolis, Chicago, Dallas and Tampa. Our team was able to watch our Atlanta Braves play the Tampa Bay Rays at the stadium after the event which they really enjoyed! The weather was beautiful as you can see from the pictures below.

We traveled with the Dark Horse marketing team to each private leather monogramming event and monogrammed on beautiful leather koozies created by a company called Rustico and branded with the Dark Horse Wine logo.

Guests were able to choose any monogram they wanted with a choice of silver, gold, black and rose gold or no foil (deboss).

The leather monogramming event was a big hit with guests. People loved the on-site experience of having their leather koozies personalized right in front of them. We had long lines at every event but we were able to get everyone done. We monogrammed an average of 100 koozies per event.

The Canned Wine Launch Tour was a success both for Dark Horse Wines and Inkwell Designers. We were honored to work with the brand and we’re already looking forward to more events in the future.

Logo Embossing Creates an Elegant Finish on Corporate Gifts

Logo embossing is one of our specialties. We can create a logo stamping die from your 300 dpi vector image and hand stamp almost any item you bring to us from anywhere you purchase it. We can handle real leather and faux leather (in most cases). However, we get the best results from real leather so please keep that in mind when choosing your items.

A great example of a recent logo embossing project is pictured below. We embossed this leather file folder below for retirees from Delta Community Credit Union.

We were able to take their electronic logo file, create and cut a die and emboss it on leather file folders purchased from a local office supply store in Atlanta. Delta Community corporate sent us their logo and we created the die pictured below.

We loaded the die in our machine, heated it up to 300 degrees and hand stamped each item for about 10 seconds. We were able to turn this project around quickly. Typical logo embossing project turnaround is 7 to 10 business days.

We offer both debossing with no color and embossing with gold, silver or virtually any color foil. Here are more examples of our embossing and debossing projects. We’ve worked with many companies including Delta Air Lines, Mount Holyoke College, Mazda and Coca-Cola.

Custom UGG Design Created for A Client in Wisconsin

Custom UGG design is a new leather design trend we’ve definitely had a lot of fun with recently specifically for a client in Wisconsin. When Jessica read our Facebook page and found we could use our pyrography and leather debossing skills to design wildflowers on her UGG® boots, she immediately sent her boots to us in Atlanta.

We were able to design the UGG boots after consulting with her on the design she wanted. We then took a pyrography pen and set it at the highest setting and went to work. The design took about an hour to create. We were inspired by photographs online and also coloring book designs.

Burning in the design creates a “tattoo” on the UGGs that lasts forever and will not wear off with time under normal use and care. The design won’t rub off and becomes a permanent image on the boots.

Jessica’s custom designed UGGs turned out even better than she imagined. Jessica was so happy with the final design she sent us a picture of her wearing them on the first day after she received them back from our team.

Personalized Executive Gifts Debossed for International Association of Flight and Critical Care Paramedics

Personalized executive gifts for a corporate convention are one of our specialities. However, a leather embossed pulaski cover is something very unique. A pulaski cover is the leather sheath used to protect axes used by firefighters and paramedics.

When the International Associate of Flight and Critical Care Paramedics (IAFCCP) contacted us about embossing the leather axe cover, we were very excited to create something unique and different. They wanted the cover of a pulaski axe debossed with their logo. (Debossing means imprinting the logo without any foil or extra color. The die simply presses right into the leather and creates an impression.) This presented a challenge because the leather item was a very odd shape. There was also a snap in the way of the machine head. However, we are always up for a good challenge so we took it on!

We were able to order the logo die for them and create one-0f-a-kind personalized executive gifts for a convention. The real trick was the convention was within a two week period and they needed the cover within that short timeframe.

Not only were we able to deboss this leather executive gift, we were able to beat their timeframe and they received it days before the convention.

As you can see, their logo debossed beautifully into the leather pulaski cover and created a very unique executive gift for their convention. They were extremely happy with our work and are looking forward to working with us again in the future.
