Monogramming Event for American Express at the International Builders’ Show

Our monogramming event, sponsored by American Express®, was a big hit at the International Builder’s Show in Orlando, FL. We monogrammed over 250 luggage tags for guests at the debut of the New American Home in Clermont, FL.

Our office for the evening was in this gorgeous $5.5 million dollar home. This was the view at sunset when we drove up.

American Express contacted us in November 2017 to book us for the monogramming event in January 2018. We were very pleased to work with their team. They wanted to hand out luggage tags which would we personalized on-site for each person who attended the event. Guests were given a choice of brown or navy tags and the monogram was hot stamped onto the leather right in front of them which added to the excitement! They were also able to choose between gold and silver foil.

Here are some highlights from the New American Home. It was a beautiful night as you can see from the images.

We were actually set up in the office on the first floor of the home where we monogrammed each luggage tag by hand for almost every guest. The line went out the door and never stopped for the 4 hours we were there.

The luggage tags were so popular, when we got back to our office in Atlanta, we were still getting calls from people at the event who wanted to order more for their staff and coworkers. It doesn’t surprise us. People really love getting personalized swag at events as we learned at our Cisco event.

Embossed Leather Dog Leashes Special Gifts for Missouri Animal Control Officers

Embossed leather dog leashes were one of our favorite gifts to create this holiday season. These gifts were a unique way for our client to show her appreciation for her employees and the hard work they do all year.

We received a call on a Sunday from Sue Rather, the director of the local Animal Control Shelter in Waynesville, Missouri. She had bought some leather dog leashes and wanted the names of her Animal Control Officers embossed in gold foil as a special Christmas gift. The key was she needed to get the embossed leather dog leashes back in time to present them at their annual Christmas party on Friday. “No problem!” said Desiree, our CEO.

Sue sent the leashes via priority mail and we received them Monday. We went to work immediately and embossed them with the names of the Animal Control officers. We sent her the proofs and she was very happy with the final results. Keep in mind this was done during a very busy holiday week. We had orders coming in daily in December but we were determined to help Sue get these embossed leather dog leashes back within 4 days. We knew we could make the timeline.

We put them back in the mail and asked Sue to send us pictures once she presented them to her ACO’s on Friday. As Christmas miracles sometimes go, she received them Thursday, just in time for the party!

The Animal Control Officers were very surprised and excited when they saw their names embossed in gold on the dog leashes.

Unique Trade Show Swag at the Gartner Identity and Access Management Summit

Unique trade show swag is hard to find, that is, until you call Inkwell Designers℠! We offer on site monogramming and personalization services for companies around the globe. The cool part is we can travel and create trade show swag virtually anywhere.

We recently created personalized, monogrammed leather notebooks at the Edgile trade show booth at the Gartner Identity and Access Management Summit this past week in Las Vegas. The notebooks were quite a hit and created a buzz around the conference. We had a line waiting for our custom, personalized notebooks. Take a look at the video of our booth below and our CEO, Desiree Colonna, personally embossing the books. Talk about unique trade show swag!

We were invited to emboss leather notebooks at the event in a live setting for booth attendees. Here is the picture of the actual notebook we embossed. We added the monogram on the bottom right hand corner with our machines at the trade show booth.

They like to call us the “Fastest Embossers in the South” because we can emboss one book each minute. We embossed around 200 books in less than 3 hours. Here is a picture of our CEO, Desiree Colonna, working in the booth before the show opened.

We don’t take up much space and only need a few feet of trade show booth space to work our magic. The Marketing Director from Edgile was very happy with the results, especially when he saw the reaction to guests at our booth after they received their notebooks. We heard, “This is the best swag I’ve ever seen!” and “You guys really hit this one out of the park!”

All in all it was a great show. We were even treated to a beautiful sunset on the flight back to Atlanta.

Leather Third Anniversary Gift Custom Designed by Their Dog

Leather third anniversary gift giving can be so doggone interesting, we never know what kind of requests we’ll get next.

A few weeks ago, we were contacted by a dog named Rufus. Rufus wanted a gift his owners could enjoy forever and something very unique. Rufus wanted his paw prints forever stamped in leather for the rest of his doggie days and beyond.

Leather is the perfect third anniversary gift because it is durable and lasting. The 3rd wedding anniversary is often when a couple is aware of their durability of their relationship. That is why a leather third anniversary gift is the traditional gift for this celebration.

Rufus wanted his leather third anniversary gift to his owners to be very special and something they could enjoy every day. We used the same process we use for our corporate logo stamping clients. We decided on a type of leather which would look best. Then one of his owners (who was already in on the gift) made a copy of his paw prints on paper which was then magically transferred into an electronic file.

We then proceeded to cut the die out of steel and magnesium using the electronic file and a laser. We also hand cut the die itself once it is completed.

The die is then used in our embossing machine and stamped onto the leather. Below you can see the dog prints debossed with no color before we add the gold foil.

Gold foil is then added and stamped onto the leather piece and the final result is stunning! The leather piece was then added to a shadowbox frame.

We were very happy to know Rufus’ gift was well received by the couple and we hope it brings them a lot of joy when they see it in their home.

Custom UGG Design Created for A Client in Wisconsin

Custom UGG design is a new leather design trend we’ve definitely had a lot of fun with recently specifically for a client in Wisconsin. When Jessica read our Facebook page and found we could use our pyrography and leather debossing skills to design wildflowers on her UGG® boots, she immediately sent her boots to us in Atlanta.

We were able to design the UGG boots after consulting with her on the design she wanted. We then took a pyrography pen and set it at the highest setting and went to work. The design took about an hour to create. We were inspired by photographs online and also coloring book designs.

Burning in the design creates a “tattoo” on the UGGs that lasts forever and will not wear off with time under normal use and care. The design won’t rub off and becomes a permanent image on the boots.

Jessica’s custom designed UGGs turned out even better than she imagined. Jessica was so happy with the final design she sent us a picture of her wearing them on the first day after she received them back from our team.

Custom Leather Dog Collars at Lexus Fur Ball Howling Good Time

Custom leather dog collars were the “must have item” at the Columbia, South Carolina Fur Ball event sponsored by Jim Hudson Lexus. The event was held to benefit the Pawmetto Animal Shelter. The shelter is a no-kill shelter for animals in the Columbia area. It takes over one million dollars to keep the shelter up and running each year.

Our Chief Embossing Officer, Desiree Colonna, manned the embossing machine for four hours straight with no breaks. Desiree stated, “Embossing leather is something I love to do, especially when I see the reaction of the customer. They absolutely loved these leather dog collars and couldn’t wait to take them home to their dogs!”

The collars were provided by Mel Boteri, a handbag designer in Atlanta who had them pre-stamped with the Lexus logo. Desiree added the dog’s name on the custom leather dog collars in front of customers at her booth in gold or silver foil. There was also the option of no foil, just debossed with no color.

We knew the custom leather dog collars were going to be big hit when we realized the line for the dog collars was longer than both the lines for the food table and bar!

Attendees of all ages love the dog collars. It was fun to watch everyone show off their special gifts around the room as the night went on. The collars were so popular, the booth started running out of sizes. All in all, 250 collars were embossed throughout the night.

The night was filled with music, great food and dancing. Guests all had a lovely time and enjoyed the event from start to finish. Our custom leather dog collars at the Lexus station were icing on the cake and a great memory of a beautiful night.

The best feedback we received was in an email the next day from the dogs of one of the attendees. They wrote, “Thank you for our new collars with our names on them. Mom told us how long and hard you worked at the Fur Ball. Doggie licks and hugs, Sophie and Rusty.”
