Custom Luggage Tags in Atlanta: Cold Embossing Magic at Shepard SandboxLIVE

We had an exhilarating experience creating custom luggage tags at Shepard SandboxLIVE in Atlanta, hosted by Shepard Events. Our latest innovation, cold embossing round luggage tags, took center stage, bringing a unique and personalized touch to the event.

At Inkwell Designers®, we pride ourselves on creating one-of-a-kind event activations that leave lasting impressions. Our custom luggage tags at Shepard SandboxLIVE was no exception. This dynamic event brought together industry professionals, innovators, and creative minds to explore the future of event planning. Our cold embossing technology fit perfectly into this environment, showcasing the blend of artistry and cutting-edge techniques that define our work.

So, what exactly is cold embossing? Unlike traditional embossing methods that use heat and pressure, our process leverages UV ink and UV DTF films to create stunning, textured designs without the need for high temperatures. This method not only preserves the integrity of the material but also allows for intricate and detailed designs that stand out.

At Shepard SandboxLIVE, attendees had the chance to witness the magic of cold embossing firsthand. Our own round, custom luggage tags became a hit, offering guests a practical yet stylish accessory to take home. Each tag was customized on the spot, featuring attendees’ initials. The luggage tags were purchased from us because they work best with our cold embossing technique. We do require our clients to purchase our materials but they love the quality so it’s never a problem. Our leather is top-grade from Italy and comes in many colors.

The process was fascinating to watch. Desiree, our CEO, demonstrated the cold embossing technique, explaining how UV ink and films work together to create a raised, tactile effect. The audience was captivated by the precision and speed at which we could produce these personalized items. The tags were not only visually appealing but also durable, making them perfect for frequent travelers looking to add a touch of elegance to their luggage.

Live Event Embossing for Cushman & Wakefield in Orlando

Live event embossing activations are one of the most popular services we offer the event industry. We recently worked with Cushman & Wakefield, commercial real estate brokers, at a convention in Orlando, Florida.

Our live embossing event consisted of adding guests monogram in gold or silver foil to leather keyfobs and journals. We monogrammed over 200 items within a 3 hour event. Guests lined up with excitement the moment we arrived and started setting up our equipment. The buzz grew throughout the three hours we were there and the line never ended.

The keyfobs and journals were made of genuine leather. Our live embossing event included stamping up to 3 letters of a monogram in gold foil, silver foil or with no color. We stamped the logo on the items before the event and added the monogram on the other side.

We had two embossers at this live event. Each could stamp 60 items per hour.

Guests love the live event embossing activation so much we were out of product at the very end. The lines never ended the entire time we were there.

This lady had us emboss a keyfob for her 3 week old grandchild. She was so excited to give her daughter this gift. “Its my grandson’s first monogrammed gift!” she exclaimed. We love stories like these at our live event embossing activations! Our monogramming makes a beautiful gift for any occasion.

We had a lot of guests tell us how wonderful the activation was. There is something about seeing your initials put on an item during an event which is magical.

Personalized Water Bottles for Chick-fil-A®

Our personalized water bottles created at an event held at the Chick-fil-A corporate office were so popular, employees at the store in St. Augustine, Florida called and requested them. The local St. Augustine public relations and marketing team heard about how we customized water bottles with vinyl onsite at the corporate office and asked for our help making the transition from foam cups to plastic water tumblers fun and exciting for their employees.

We personalized the water bottles to support the initiative very dear to them, environmental conservation in an area inhabited by sea turtles. Fun fact: Many Florida beaches welcome over 100,000 female turtles who lay their eggs every year! Using plastic cups instead of foam greatly reduces the environmental impact on these beautiful and wild sea creatures.

We customized the water bottles to order after the store marketing team sent us a spreadsheet with all the names, monograms and nicknames. Amazingly, we were able to turn the project around in less than a week. The logoed water bottles were sent to our office where we prepared them for the vinyl. We personalized 50 cups for the team in our studio with red permanent vinyl which matched the Chick-fil-A colors perfectly.

We used our Brother® ScannCut vinyl cutting machine to cut permanent vinyl decals for all the personalized water bottles. Then we carefully applied them in our studio and boxed them up for shipping.

We had a great time working with the Chick-fil-A staff members. They were pleasantly surprised at how many employees wanted the personalized water bottles and already plan on hiring us to create more.

Georgia Engraving Company Completes CVS Project in 24 Hours

Georgia engraving company, Inkwell Designers, performed a miracle this week.

It was a last-minute job most georgia laser engraving companies would have turned away. Not us. We were willing to try and make it happen. Once you step in the ring and face the challenge head on, miracles really do happen.

The call came in on Thursday afternoon around 5. A manager from CVS Corporate contacted us to engrave 10 leatherette notebooks as a surprise for her team on Monday. We had to get them back to her by Saturday.

The odds were stacked against our small Georgia laser engraving company. The biggest challenge is we didn’t have the notebooks they wanted in stock. We had to order them from a company called Johnson’s Plastics and hope and pray they came in the next day. To make matters worse, this was now after 4 pm on Thursday and we missed the overnight shipping cut off. We called and ordered anyway. The good news is the warehouse was located in Lawrenceville, GA and we are located in Woodstock, GA. The JP team members we worked with promised they could courier the books to us the next day and we’d get them by the afternoon. We placed the order and waited.

Johnson’s Plastics delivered on their promise! Sure enough, the notebooks arrived to our Woodstock Georgia engraving company studio by 3 pm on Friday. We had 3 hours to laser engrave them and get them to FedEx to ship out. Oh the pressure!

We were able to laser engrave the notebooks and get them all out to FedEx by 6 pm for a next day delivery on a Saturday within 3 hours! This was exactly 24 hours after we received the call from CVS Corporate. We performed a miracle because we believed we could, and we did it with no hesitation. Our Georgia engraving company became the little engine that could.

Needless to say, our contact at CVS Corporate was ecstatic! She literally squealed on the phone when we told her the notebooks were shipped and scheduled to arrive the next day. Mission accomplished!

When our customers call, we listen carefully and try our very best to make sure we deliver what we promise. Can we do this every time? Maybe not, but our little Georgia laser engraving company is willing to try and that’s half the battle. We also have a great partner in Johnson’s Plastics. They supplied the journals and really came through in a pinch with overnight shipping!

Custom Vinyl and Heat Sublimation Now Available

Custom vinyl and heat sublimation have been two services our clients have begged us to offer. We are proud to say we can now offer these services to our clients all over the world. We can design and create custom gifts for our clients aged 0 to 100 years old!

It all began when our CEO, Desiree Colonna, started making shirts and onesies on the side for her new great-nephew, Ashton. Whenever Ashton wore the shirts, people would stop her niece, Krista and ask where she got them. Even her doctor asked about the custom vinyl shirts when she took Ashton in for his appointments.

Ashton was the perfect model and soon began appearing on Inkwell’s Instagram page. It seems as if custom vinyl design was the next chapter for our small family business. Our clients love our custom and personalized gifts.

What was really fun was to find out we could do custom vinyl and heat sublimation on leather, acrylic and other items you typically don’t think of.

Here is a leather baseball we created with heat sublimation vinyl for a groom’s wedding party. The baseballs were a huge hit and more orders are coming in daily.

Soon Desiree began experimenting with glitter, hologram and infusible ink vinyl on her own shirts. They’ve started to sell quickly both online and offline. There are no limits to what we can create for our clients! We can even take a hand drawn picture or signature and add it to any item.

The best part is we can take this show on the road and create custom gifts at events with precut custom vinyl designs and a heat press! The possibilities are limitless!

Cognac Bottle Engraving Bottles Worth $7K for NFL and UGA Football Stars

Cognac bottle engraving for the Camus Cognac Southeast Regional Sales Manager was one of the highlights of our week. The Camus Extra Elegance Limited Edition bottles were retail over $1K each. Our CEO, Desiree Colonna, hand engraved 7 of them, bringing their total worth to over $7K. Needless to say it was a boozey doozey!

Derek wanted a very special gift for a special former Philadelphia Eagles player, a few former UGA football players and a couple of sports radio personalities at his upcoming event. He searched the Atlanta area for an engraver who would take on the job, but couldn’t find anyone brave enough to risk engraving bottles worth that much money. Plus the bottles were 1.75L and 17 inches high. These would not fit in a laser machine. The cognac bottle engraving had to be done by hand.

Desiree received a call from a local laser company explaining the situation. She was more than happy to take the job knowing she could engrave any surface, even curved with her handy high speed drill. She could even add any logo Derek wanted with a stippling technique. She had over three years of fragrance and liquor bottle engraving under her belt so she was ready for the challenge.

Derek brought the cognac bottles to Desiree and the cognac bottle engraving fun began. Desiree placed each bottle carefully on her lap and engraved the bottles using her handy hand drill, the same type of drill used in a dental office. She printed out each logo and stippled them on the bottles dot by dot. She wasn’t as nervous as she thought she’d be. When asked by a colleague about how she stayed so calm she stated, “I’ve engraved over 2,600 fragrance and liquor bottles so far in my career. Yes, these are the most expensive, but they are made out of the same glass used for all of them. You just can’t think about it!”

Players included DJ Shockley, Tim Jennings, Randy McMichael and David Greene from the University of Georgia, Hugh Douglas from the Philadelphia Eagles and Terry Foxx and John Fricke from 92.9 The Game.

The job took a few hours to complete. Derek was very happy with the work and the recipients were blown away by the gorgeous bottles!
